HOW TO USE THIS SITE

Three steps to a shortlist

Most traders lose more to the wrong broker than to a bad trade. Spend twenty minutes here first.

01

Check the licence first

Confirm which entity would hold your money and which authority regulates it. A Tier-1 licence changes what happens if things go wrong.

02

Add up the real cost

Spread plus commission plus swap, on the instruments and at the hours you actually trade. Headline spreads rarely tell the whole story.

03

Compare two side by side

Put your two finalists in the comparison tool and look at the differences that would affect your account, not the marketing.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

What traders ask most often about our ratings and about choosing a broker.

How does BrokerProReview rate brokers?
Every broker is scored 0–10 against the same four criteria: regulation and licensing (35%), trading costs (30%), account experience (20%), and verified user feedback (15%). The weights are published, so any score can be checked against the underlying data.
What is a Tier-1 regulator, and why does it matter?
Tier-1 authorities — the FCA in the UK, ASIC in Australia, the CFTC and NFA in the US, FINMA, MAS, JFSA, and CIRO — enforce segregated client money, capped leverage, and in most cases a compensation scheme if the broker fails. An offshore licence from Seychelles, Vanuatu, or St Vincent may allow much higher leverage, but offers little practical recourse in a dispute.
Is the broker with the lowest spread always the cheapest?
No. A raw-spread account often advertises 0.0 pips but charges a round-turn commission, and the real cost is spread plus commission plus overnight swap. A headline spread also describes an average across the session, not the spread you get during a news release. Compare total cost for the instruments and hours you actually trade.
How does BrokerProReview make money?
Through affiliate commissions when a reader opens an account via one of our links. Brokers cannot pay for a higher score or a better ranking, and the scoring criteria are identical for partners and non-partners.
How often is broker data updated?
Spreads, leverage, and account conditions are reviewed monthly, and full broker reviews are re-checked every quarter. Conditions can still change without notice, so confirm the current terms on the broker’s own site before depositing.

Start with the evidence

Every review states the licence, the real cost of trading, and the limitations — including the ones brokers would rather you skipped.

Risk warning: CFDs are complex instruments and carry a high risk of losing money rapidly due to leverage. Most retail investor accounts lose money when trading CFDs.
