Best Forex brokers of 2026

There is no single best broker — only the best broker for how you trade. Pick the category that matches your priority.

⚠️ Check which entity you are signing up to

Most brokers below run several legal entities under one brand. The licence protecting your account is the one on your account documents, not the strongest licence on the broker’s website — and the entity offering the highest leverage is usually the least protected. See how we score brokers

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

What traders ask most often about these rankings.

How are these rankings decided?
Every broker carries one Trust Score, built from regulation and licensing (35%), trading costs (30%), account experience (20%), and verified user feedback (15%). Category rankings re-sort the same reviewed brokers by the single measure that matters most for that use case — spread for cost, minimum deposit for beginners, licensing for regulation.
Can a broker pay to appear higher?
No. We earn affiliate commissions when a reader opens an account through our links, but commercial relationships have no input into scoring or ordering. A partner broker can rank below a non-partner, and regularly does.
Does the same protection apply wherever I live?
No. Most of these brokers operate several legal entities under one brand, and the protection you get depends on which entity you are onboarded to — not on the brand name. A UK or Australian entity carries segregated client money and a compensation scheme; an offshore entity of the same broker usually carries neither, while offering higher leverage. Check which entity appears on your account documents before depositing.
Why is the cheapest broker not ranked first overall?
Because a low spread is worth nothing if you cannot withdraw. Regulation carries the heaviest weight in the overall score for that reason — an offshore broker with a 0.0 pip spread offers you almost no recourse in a dispute, which is a far larger risk than a fraction of a pip.
Is higher leverage better?
No. The leverage category is sorted arithmetically only. In practice 1:2000 usually signals a lightly regulated entity, and it accelerates losses at least as fast as gains. Regulators such as the FCA and ASIC cap retail leverage at 1:30 specifically to protect clients.
What is a swap-free account?
A swap-free account charges no overnight interest on positions held for more than a day, which suits traders who avoid interest on religious grounds. Conditions, eligible instruments, and time limits vary by broker, and some replace the swap with a flat administration fee. Confirm the terms with the broker before opening one.
How current is this ranking?
Spreads, leverage, and account conditions are reviewed monthly, and full reviews are re-checked quarterly. This page was last reviewed in August 2026. Broker terms can change without notice, so confirm the current conditions on the broker's own site before depositing.

Still deciding?

Put two brokers side by side and compare the numbers that would actually change your account balance.

Risk warning: CFDs are complex instruments and carry a high risk of losing money rapidly due to leverage. Most retail investor accounts lose money when trading CFDs.
